Friends of Peacehaven Botanic Park Inc., founded in 2006, is an association of enthusiastic volunteers devoted to this beautiful park in Highfields, Queensland. We collaborate with Toowoomba Regional Council to realise the vision of the late Stanley Kuhl, who donated the land on which Peacehaven Botanic Park is situated.

Our aim is to ensure that the park:

  • contributes to increasing scientific and popular knowledge of Australian native plants, particularly those of the eastern Darling Downs;
  • contributes to conserving biodiversity in our region;
  • remains a place of peace and tranquillity for generations to come.

New members are always welcome. Read more about how you can get involved, and go to the Contact page for details on how to become a member.

We operate a native plant nursery, open to the public on Thursday and Saturday mornings.

NURSERY OPENING HOURS
Thursday 9 am to 12.30 pm

SOME OF THE FRIENDS’ ACHIEVEMENTS

These projects are just a few examples of the practical and financial ways in which the Friends have contributed to creating the Peacehaven we know today.
