FROM THE PRESIDENT
September has been a busy month, with extended opening hours at the nursery during the Carnival of Flowers. A lot of organisation went into Carnival preparations, with extra stock sourced, delivered and sorted for sale, and nursery staff rostered. A big thank you to Alison and her team of volunteers for their hard work. It was great to see some new members among the helpers in the nursery who volunteered to fill the extra time slots.
We have received a lot of positive feedback about our customer service and range of plants in the nursery. Another encouraging sign is seeing younger gardeners coming in for advice about native plants, and most leaving with a boxful for their garden.
October is AGM time – see notice below. Please do come along. Light refreshments will be served after the formal proceedings, giving you an opportunity to socialise and chat with the new committee members.
